DOWNTOWN FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

We are excited that the Mission Inn Festival of Lights, along with the Lighting Ceremony, is back! We are going to provide seating - the best in downtown Riverside - as we did prior to the pandemic. We will provide a chair, a couple of prepackaged cookies, and a bottle of water for a donation. We are requesting a $20 donation. Enjoy the Riverside's Festival of Lights in comfort!

BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE

Sometimes the Christmas season is a time that highlights what or who is missing.  It is a time when it feels like the whole world is having a party filled with laughter and happiness.  For many, this festive expectation only makes the feelings of grief, anxiety, depression, and loss worse. It can highlight feelings of loneliness and isolation when we believe that everyone else is experiencing something that perhaps we used to have or never quite discovered.  The Norman Rockwell picture perfect holiday can feel at times like it is beyond our reach.  If any of these feelings are part of your own experience of the Christmas season or if you would like to support others who are having a less than festive Christmas, the Blue Christmas Potluck and service, Saturday, December 16th at 2pm is for you.

We at FCC are a family of God.  We are brothers and sisters, siblings in Christ.  And so it is that we can come together and feel blue and loved just as we are fully part of this family.  Join us for this afternoon of eating, prayer, music and fellowship where every emotion is valid and welcomed.

Pie potluck to follow.
