Dear First Congregational Church family,
Many of you have inquired about when we will return to in-person worship on Sundays. We are currently in the process of creating a plan that will provide us a path forward to hold Sunday Worship Service in-person for those who want to. Moderator, Adam Weinberger, has created a Re-opening safety committee that is reviewing state guidelines for in-person worship service and based on the guidelines, the committee is building a solid plan for re-opening. The decision to re-open the church building resides with the Board of Trustees. Once the safety plan is finished, the trustees will make the decision to reopen the church for in-person worship. We will then set a date for our first in-person worship.
As we plan for our re-opening, it will take many hands to volunteer to help with this huge undertaking. We have created a survey to help us as we plan for our re-opening. Please take the time to complete the attached 5 question survey.
We are committed to re-opening FCC Riverside but want to do it in a safe and responsible manner. We also understand that there are many members who still do not feel comfortable attending worship in-person. Rest assure we will still offer our virtual worship on Sundays for our community who is not quite ready to worship in-person. We would like to thank you for your patience as we prepare for us to gather again. It has been a long season of this pandemic and we thank you for your continued support as we have been worshipping safely from home. We cannot wait to see you all!
In His Service,
Rev. Michelle E. Freeman, Senior Pastor
Adam Weinberger, Moderator
