On Sunday, Feb. 26, First Congregational Church of Riverside hosted “Evensong”, a program by Raincross Master Chorale, which has traditionally been one of many events featured at the Annual Dickens Festival. The service of music and readings follows the tradition of the English Prayer Book of 1549, developed by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer (1489-1556). Especially important is the over-arching theme of peace and light.
The Raincross Master Chorale is an accomplished singing group and raises money to provide more than 45 college scholarships to young singers in Riverside.
